The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) celebrated the inaugural of World Investor Week (WIW), Monday, October 2, 2023, by ringing the opening bell. Mr. Ahmed El-Sheikh – EGX's Executive Chairman and Mr. Ashraf Salman – Chairman of Egyptian Federation for Securities, opened the trading session. In attendance were Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Assistant to FRA's Chairman, Mr. Mohamed Ayyad, Director of FRA's Media Center, in addition to leaders and representatives of EGX, Egyptian Federation for Securities, Egyptian Society for Technical Analysts (ESTA), and Egyptian Investment Management Association (EIMA).

Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) today hosted a bell-ringing ceremony as part of its participation in the World Investor Week. Distinguished representatives from various financial and investment entities, including the Qatar Financial Center and the Qatar Financial Markets Authority, key collaborators with the Qatar Stock Exchange in advancing investment awareness and local market development, were present at the bell-ringing event. QSE recognizes the transformative power of financial education and is dedicated to equipping individuals of diverse ages with the knowledge and resources necessary to make informed investment decisions.

Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) joined the Ring the Bell event dedicated to "Financial Literacy" as part of the World Investor Week project of the World Federation of Stock Exchanges (WFE). The BSE regularly organizes financial literacy events as part of this project. The main purpose of the educational events organized on a regular basis on the topics "Investment Trip", "Issuer Day", "Securities Issue, Stock Exchange Listing and Listing Advisory Programme" is to inform business entities operating in our country about the securities market, which is an alternative source of financing.

The Philippine Stock Exchange, Inc. (PSE) underscored its commitment to promote investor education by taking part in the global Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy initiative, a program of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE). Officers of the Exchange rang the closing bell in a ceremony held on Wednesday, October 4.

Financial literacy has become a core skill, essential for everyone in modern society. Improving financial literacy and having risk awareness are indispensable. The Taipei Exchange (TPEx) aims to equip young adults who are in the early stages of their exposure to securities trading with a better understanding of investment and to provide them with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of the capital market.

The Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) welcomed Julie BECKER, Managing Director of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE), the world leader in sustainable finance with more than 1,800 listed sustainable bonds, to its headquarters in Abidjan. This official visit was also an opportunity for LuxSE and the BRVM to jointly celebrate the “Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy”, an annual event to promote financial education around the world.

To promote financial education, enhance investor resilience, and support the “World Investor Week” and “Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy” campaigns advocated by the International Organization of Securities Commissions and the World Federation of Exchanges, the Taiwan Stock Exchange (the TWSE), in collaboration with nine other financial institutions, held the "2023 World Investor Week Forum" from October 2 to 6.

MSE IPF hosted the WIW opening bell ceremony in India this year with Millennials. The theme of the event was ‘Millennials and Responsible Investing’ this year – Close to 1500 university students across various career streams from Mumbai attended the event physically. The event also witnessed an online participation from 300 students from several IIMs, IITs, XLRI in India throughout the day.

Just over 12 months on from joining forces in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) focusing on sustainable finance and education, the Luxembourg Stock Exchange (LuxSE) and the West African regional exchange Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) were reunited in Abidjan, Ivory Coast last week to take the next, concrete steps in their cooperation. LuxSE CEO Julie Becker and Head of Sustainable Finance Laetitia Hamon travelled to Abidjan to foster financial literacy and sustainable finance education within the financial ecosystem in the West African region. The visit included a full day of sustainable finance training as well as events and meetings with public authorities interested in learning more about LuxSE’s pioneering role in sustainable finance.

Alongside the initiative of International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), Tehran Securities Exchange (TSE) rang the opening bell in celebration of the International Investors Week (WIW) for the 7th consecutive year on Monday, 9 October 2023.
