Deutsche Börse upgrades its trading system

Deutsche Börse has introduced a further-developed version of its electronic trading system with Xetra Release 14.0. Functionalities, interfaces and order types have been improved in line with the demands of the market. The new release introduces system-based risk management in electronic trading, enabling market makers to minimize their operating and market risks. Iceberg orders, previously only valid for one day, will be valid for 360 days.

London Stock Exchange Group launches global order routing network for retail brokers

Proquote, the London Stock Exchange’s cost effective global market data provider, has launched a global order routing network for retail brokers. The new technology will allow them to route care orders and Direct Market Access instructions through a community of sell side brokers. Proquote customers will have the ability to submit orders via their existing electronic FIX interface.

Montreal Exchange upgrades derivative trading platform

The Montreal Exchange has upgraded its SOLA derivative trading platform, improving both trading system performance and order management capacity. The new infrastructure is expected to deliver a nearly 300% improvement in trading response time with an overall median response time measure at the network edge of approximately 460 microseconds.

NASDAQ OMX Group provides Erbil Stock Exchange with X-Stream technology

The NASDAQ OMX Group and the Erbil Stock Exchange, the new Iraqi Kurdistan stock exchange, have signed an agreement to power the ESX with NASDAQ OMX’s X-stream trading technology to increase market participant involvement, in the region and internationally. X-stream will provide ESX with a solution to trade equities and debt instruments, and position ESX to move into other asset classes as its market expands.

NYSE Technologies powers HKEx market data platform

NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology division of NYSE Euronext, announced that its Exchange Data Publisher (XDP) is the market data engine powering the new Hong Kong Exchanges’ Orion Market Data platform. XDP enables the HKEx Orion Market Data platform to distribute market data packaged into value-added services tailored to different subscriber groups.

Singapore Exchange selects LSEG’s MillenniumIT as new post trade system

Singapore Exchange has chosen London Stock Exchange Group’s MillenniumIT as the provider of a new post trade system for Singapore’s securities market. The new system will expand the clearing, settlement and depository services into multi-currency, multi-asset solutions. SGX expects the system to begin operating in phases from the end of 2015.

SIX Swiss Exchange enhances co-location offering

On 4 November 2013, SIX Swiss Exchange made X-stream INET, its trading technology, available to all its trading segments. Consequently, co-location is now also available for participants active in ETFs, sponsored funds, ETPs, bonds and structured products.

TMX Atrium provides access to Moscow Exchange

TMX Group’s subsidiary TMX Atrium, provider of infrastructure solutions for the financial community, announced that the Moscow Exchange is now available on TMX Atrium’s connectivity fabric. The addition of the Moscow Exchange’s data and trading capabilities forms an integral part of TMX Atrium’s expansion strategy throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
