Dubai Financial Market hosts Africa & Middle East depositories association conference
The Dubai Financial Market hosted the 18th conference of the Africa & Middle East Depositories Association (AMEDA) from 22 to 25 September 2013 with the participation of more than 50 senior delegates and experts representing 29 member depositories. On this occasion, the association admitted the depositories of Iraq and Côte d’Ivoire. AMEDA was established in 2005 with the aim to be a forum for knowledge sharing and promotion of best practices amongst its member depositories in Africa & the Middle East.
NASDAQ OMX joins advisory council of Sustainability Accounting Standards Board
NASDAQ OMX Group has joined the Advisory Council of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board. SASB provides industry-specific sustainability accounting standards for use by publicly-listed corporations in the US in disclosing material sustainability issues for the benefit of investors and the public.
Singapore Exchange and Bank of China sign MoU
The Singapore Exchange and the Bank of China have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to explore joint development of Renminbi products and services, promotion of SGX products in China and educational programs. The Bank of China will also look into expanding its role in SGX’s markets.
