Dalian Commodity Exchange and China Beijing International Mining Exchange sign cooperation agreement

To push forward the building of the domestic platforms for the futures and spot trading of mineral products and promote the sound integration of the futures market and spot market, the Dalian Commodity Exchange and the China Beijing International Mining Exchange signed an agreement on strategic cooperation. The two sides will carry out in-depth cooperation in exchange and sharing of information, product research, market development and promotion, industrial services, and other fields.

ISE and Moscow Exchange sign MoU to facilitate information sharing

On 28 August 2013, the International Securities Exchange and Moscow Exchange signed a Memorandum of Understanding in which the two exchanges agreed to share information relating to various financial instruments traded through their respective facilities. The agreement also grants ISE access to information for purposes of regulation and surveillance, which includes data on transactions, price and quotation size on Moscow Exchange.

Moscow Exchange and Eurex to cooperate on FX trading

On 21 August 2013, Moscow Exchange and Eurex have signed a cooperation agreement for the trading of foreign exchange derivatives. Through this partnership, Eurex Exchange will launch Euro/Russian Rouble and US Dollar/Russian Rouble FX futures on its trading system in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Stock Exchange of Thailand cooperates with Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam exchanges

The Stock Exchange of Thailand, together with other stock exchanges in Greater Mekong Subregion (Cambodia, Hanoi, Hochiminh and Laos) will collaborate to strengthen the region’s competitiveness and raise its global profile during the first GMS exchanges CEOs meeting ‘GMS Focus’, hosted by SET in August, as a platform for closer collaboration among GMS exchanges. The five GMS exchanges agreed in principle to initiate GMS capital market developments in three areas: capital market education, corporate governance and market information sharing.

Taiwan Stock Exchange and MIAX Options Exchange sign MoU

On 26 August 2013, the Taiwan Stock Exchange signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MIAX Options Exchange, the US new options bourse, to foster mutual cooperation and information exchange in a mutually beneficial partnership. The signing of the MoU will enable US ETF issuers to launch options on MIAX which track ETFs linked to TWSE listed stocks. This could improve international links to the Taiwan capital market and encourage more investors to trade Taiwan securities.
