Hong Kong Exchanges, London Metal Exchange and China Beijing International Mining Exchange sign MoU

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, the London Metal Exchange and the China Beijing International Mining Exchange signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and the exchange of information. The China Beijing International Mining Exchange is a platform for trading mining rights and China iron ore spot products.

NASDAQ OMX and Borsa Istanbul sign strategic partnership

On 3 July 2013, NASDAQ OMX Group and Borsa Istanbul signed a partnership agreement. According to it, NASDAQ OMX will provide a suite of market-leading Exchange technologies to Borsa Istanbul which will integrate and operate NASDAQ OMX's suite of market technologies for trading, clearing, market surveillance and risk management, covering all asset classes including energy contracts. The agreement also aims at strengthening Borsa Istanbul's position as a regional hub for capital markets. The two companies will actively collaborate in the region.

NASDAQ OMX and NGX create physical energy alliance

NASDAQ OMX Commodities and Natural Gas Exchange, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TMX Group, have entered into a strategic alliance involving NASDAQ OMX US physical energy entity, NASDAQ OMX Commodities Clearing Company and the physical energy exchange and clearinghouse of NGX. Together, they will provide a solution for transacting in physical energy in the US, helping customers maximize collateral efficiency, and enabling increased transparency and market liquidity. NGX will offer trading and clearing services while NOCC will contribute account management, product development, and scheduling resources.

NYSE Euronext and the Receivables Exchange renew partnership

NYSE Euronext and the Receivables Exchange, the on-line marketplace for US receivables sales, renewed their strategic alliance to jointly market their Corporate Receivables Program to potential accounts receivable sellers, including New York Stock Exchange-listed companies.
